All New

Ok, so it actually looks a lot like the old one . . . but I promise, it's new. This blog is going to get back on track. Back to my original purpose in blogging, which was to chronicle the special moments in my family's daily life. I've gotten off track somewhere, and used the blog more for my personal laments than for bragging on my kids -- the purest form of mommy blogging. So now, back to basics. And what better to share for my first post, than a very special accomplishment of our newest little family member.

I was just saying to a friend yesterday afternoon that Ian was starting to try to pull up on things, but that he hadn't made it yet. Less than two hours later, I found him doing this:

And then, as if that wasn't enough, he said "Look ma, I'm standing on one foot."
And then, the inevitable happened:

This is his how-could-you-let-me-do-that-to-myself-and-then-sit-there-laughing look. I know I really shouldn't, but I can't help but find this face hilarious. Besides, the highs wouldn't be so exhilarating without the lows. Keep trying little buddy. You'll get it.

  1. That is so great! It always seems like my kids are our to prove me wrong. Whenever I say they haven't done something yet... I just give it a little bit of time and they will have it accomplished!

That is such a great sad face! I am glad you took the time to take a picture! Ü
