My Baby is 1!

This sweet little boy is one year old. I can't believe that it's been a year. . . it's flown by. I still think that Ian is the best baby ever, and he makes me smile so much each day.

He's at such a fun age right now as he's constantly learning and exploring. He really loves music--he literally lights up whenever he hears it, especially if it's daddy playing the guitar. Sometimes, he gets a chance to strum a little too, and he gets so happy.

He also really loves water. He loves taking baths and playing in grandma's little swimming pool. He doesn't mind being splashed, if it's just a little, and he loves to splash back!

We had a little family party for him the other night. Silly me, I forgot to take pictures of anything except my sweetie. I guess that's ok though as he was definitely the cutest thing there.


Everyone gathered around when it was time for cake, but Ian was pretty hesitant. He just wanted me to grab a fork and start feeding him.

Finally, he decided to dig in.

Even though he did eventually dive in with his hands, he never really got the idea of grabbing handfuls and shoving them into his mouth. He just played with the gunk on his hands while mommy fed him.

It was a memorable evening. Thanks to all our family for sharing it with us.
