Let's eat some more!I actually talked Steven into taking the kids strawberry picking with me. The adventure started out a little on the rough side--I got home from work late, we needed to do an errand on the way, and then we needed to get gas, and then we almost got lost--but we finally got to the farm 10 minutes before closing time, and the kind woman at the checkout agreed to let us pick for a few extra minutes. So, in 15 to 20 minutes, we picked about 6 1/2 lbs of sweet, luscious berries. Then we took them to my mom-in-law's and made strawberry shortcake for family home evening.
And by the end of the night, we all felt happy.
